California crash causes 1 death, 3 injuries

A man’s life was cut short in a motor vehicle crash in California after his car crashed into two other vehicles. A woman also suffered serious injuries in the wreck. Police said drugs and alcohol did not appear to be causal factors in the crash.

How the car crash happened

The recent California car crash took place at around 9:27 p.m. on a Monday. According to authorities, a man, 60, was driving a car west along Arrow Highway. He reportedly lost control of the car and entered the highway’s eastbound lanes, where he struck two oncoming cars.

Police said the man was thrown from his car due to the impact of the collision. Officials pronounced him dead at the crash scene. A 39-year-old woman was driving one of the cars that was struck. She suffered major injuries and was transported to a medical center. Two people were in the second car that was reportedly struck and suffered minor injuries requiring no treatment.

Legal recourse available following the accident

The woman who suffered serious injuries in the California crash may choose to file a personal injury claim, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the wreck. Even though the man who allegedly caused the accident died in the crash, the lawsuit may still be filed against his estate and anybody else with an ownership interest in the car he was driving at the time of the collision. A successfully fought lawsuit may lead to a monetary damage award to cover the woman’s hospital bills resulting from the motor vehicle accident.
